i bought this hat before i had kembrie and just thought it would be fun for pictures. so i couldn't resist today.

we celebrated dax and kari's birthdays with the family on sunday. it was so much fun. and my mom always outdoes herself. the pirate ship cake was so cute. i hope you can kind of see it from these pictures. she had treasure on it and cannons on the sides. super cute! thanks mom! tysie loved the party hats and blowing out candles...she had to blow some out too. and dax got totally spoiled by grandma and the stuff we gave him. although most of his presents he can't use till it's warm outside.

poor little kembrie..

well for some reason we can't get rid of this jaundice! she should be going down and it's just been all over the place. today she finally went down and hopefully she stays there. her billi had gone down on friday and back up yesterday. so we had to go to the dr. and they ran a bunch of tests on her to see what was going on.. so i took some sad little pictures of all her wounds! she got poked in her foot twice, once for billirubin and once for PKU (since it was her 2 week visit also) and then she got blood drawn from her arm. and she had a catheder (however that's spelled) to get a urine sample! and then to top it off got an antibiotic in both thighs! fun stuff. i feel so bad for her. then today she got billirubin taken again and the shot again in both thighs. i really hope when we go in tomorrow that it has stayed down and that her tests all come back ok...

HaPpY bIrThDaY DAX!

SERIOUSLY! WHERE HAVE 4 YEARS GONE! i cannot believe that dax is 4 (well tomorrow he is). wow how our family has changed in four years! it goes by so fast, its hard for me to remember him being small cause he just grew up so fast. i hardly remember what it was like before he was talking...(for those of you who know him, he's been talking forever!) but at the same time i'm excited for him as he gets older. it's fun to watch them grow. so i guess here's a little trip down memory lane of the past four years....

my kids have decided that having the baby around isn't so bad...they love to hold her. i just laugh at these pictures because tysie and dax look so white next to her! i do love that jaundice babies are pretty tan looking...but i'm not loving all the fun stuff that goes along with it! she's been on the biliblanket for over a week now, and yesturday we started her on medicine to flush it out of her system. we do bilirubin tomorrow and i'm really hoping we're done! i hope it starts to get better.

tysie put her baby down for a nap with kembrie. but she kept telling me the doll was my baby and kembrie is her baby.

well daxtons birthday isn't for a few weeks still, but i was not about to have a birthday party with a new baby. so it was a little early. this party has been a long time in the making because he said he wanted a pirate party like 8 months ago! it turned out really good, and all the boys were so fun and so cute. he really has darling little friends. so here's a little peek at the party.bode gave him a pirate sword which was a huge hit! (not to mention he gave him basketball shorts too! he loves basketball shorts!)

the kitchen. i think it may have been a little scary? we had alot of skeletons..but it doesn't bother dax so i wasn't too worried.

my kitchen table!! ha! i had this bright idea that we had to have a pirate flag hanging so the night before i got some cheap fabric and just decided to paint one myself (since there's no way i'd pay ten bucks for one!) and i didn't put anything down on my table because the fabric slid too much....and so instead i ended up with a skull on my table! it came off..not like i'm worried i love my table but it's nothing special and it needs to be painted again anyways. my spray paint job has lasted five years that's pretty good!
