christmas!!

we celebrated a pre-thanksgiving last sunday at my moms since it was the off year for our family. and christmas arrived for us too! my mom bought all of us "ELF ON THE SHELF" which i am sooo grateful for i've wanted it forever! and they also got a cute book from great grandma and chocolate advent calendars (which i already had to hide for a couple days!)

we have named our elf "buddy" and he is going to be my life saver this christmas. if you haven't read the book i would say it's a must have! it's so fun. today we set up our tree and we've been watching christmas movies and getting into the christmas spirit!

uncle jared called dax and braden to go hunting saturday. dax had a blast! it was his first time hunting. jared shot one (maybe more?) but he got to wear jared 's hunting vest and even a camo hat! so cute to see a little boy so excited! i love it. it reminds me of jared when he was little

silverline reunion!

we had our "first" silverline reuion on friday night. it was so fun to see everyone. and fun for us taylor girls! it's cool that i get to share it with both my sisters. between the three of us dancing in high school and college my parents were involved in drill for like 13 years! (what supportive parents we have!) i loved dancing and i miss it so much. drill taught me so much that has helped me in life and i'm so glad i got to be a part of something so fun! i also got to see all the girls that i coached and they're all growing up and getting married and so cute. here's some pic's

MY LITTLE CLIMBER!!!

searching for dax....why isn't he answering me and why can't i find him! oh maybe it's because he decided to climb in his closet "to find treasures" and wouldn't answer me! are we kidding! i have quite the little "super hero" on my hands lately. first i caught him last week jumping from kembrie's crib to tysie's bed. and then the closet incident! any mom knows too much silence is a bad thing! we've had way to much silence lately!

i was sneaky and this was his face as he turned around and saw me standing there!

it's done!!!!!!

tysie's bedspread is finally done! yay! ok so i know i'm slow a year and a half in the making but oh well it's finished right! i wanted so badly to try to get some of the talents that are in the blood of the women of my family (i'm just not there yet) but at least i'm trying! this top quilt is kembrie's that my mom made for her, and it matches the bedspread (pic's below) of tyise's. i actually sewed the all the squares of the quilt and had it machine quilted (it has cute flowers quilted in it it's darling!) and then my sweet mother finished the binding for me (oh and she did the borders too) it's just so hard for me to ever have a moment without my kids to do anything so i'm so grateful for my mom and all she does for me and the patience she had helping me do this quilt! i love it! now i can finally finish the girls room.

me and my mom painted these flowers on the wall too. i still need to make more butterflies. but hey we're making progress! and don't you love the bed. my parents let me borrow it, me and my cute sisters slept on this daybed growing up. it had a trundle underneath. i love it! someday also i want to switch out the gold knobs:)

enjoying every last moment of fall!!!!

i don't want it to get cold!!! we love the outdoors and i'm sad to think it might be ending soon. hopefully we'll have a couple more warm days in november and then hopefully my kids will love the snow this year!

the kids helped me plant some bulbs in our yard today. dax is seriously helpful! i love that kid! he's a hard worker already.

me and my sweet pinkalicious spent halloween night at the instacare! thanks to dax and kembrie she still got some candy, which she was thrilled about. this whole swine flu business is a joke though ! i have been back and forth from the dr. since thursday and he didn't think it was and then we went in sat, and she had an ear issue and then we were back at the ped today! turns out we don't have the swine flu (we tested dax today ) he started throwing up last night. but what do we have?! i am miserable, my kids are miserable and i am just so sick of sick kids. when we went to the instacare i just laugh that they told me we had the swine flu without even testing us, just to find out today when we did get tested that we don't have it. anyway...dr. rose kept saying rhinovirus which looking it up online we do have the symptoms. hopefully our swine flu vaccine really is working and hopefully my little kembrie can stay healthy!
