daxtons first day of preschool!

i still cannot believe that dax is old enough for preschool! man how time flies. i'm so happy for him though, he's been anxious since we signed him up in the spring so it was a big day for him. he needs school he's too smart for me i can't entertain him all day! in these first two pictures i took them when i picked up him and his friend (our carpool buddy) tate (taterbug) and they were so happy. the picture on the bottom....well i was trying to take a picture of him at my house before we picked up tate and he was so mad at me he screamed the whole time i was putting him in the car until we picked tate up. and i love that in the pictures his shirt is tucked in because he went to the bathroom "all by himself" at preschool and that's usually what happens. all twisted and shirt tucked in, but at least he made it to the bathroom!

TURTLE.

jared caught a turtle in the ditch at my parents house the other day, and called the kids to come out and see it. they hadn't ever seen one before in person. it was fun for them, jared is so cute with my kids he held it in his hand and the turtle clawed the crap out of his arm trying to get away. and he was teaching dax all about turtles, and how they swim and the patterns on their shells he's so good to my kids.

so after playing with it for a little while, we had to release it back into the ditch. so after we did dax wanted to watch it keep swimming so he'd make jared get down and find it and make it swim again.

we went to the splash park with some friends and the kids had so much fun! we had such a hard time getting them to leave. (we had to bribe them with wendy's). if you haven't been there you should check it out. it's nice to cool off even for me! i manage to get wet every time. wet kids usually equals wet mom i guess.dax and jack played more on the playground than in the water.

cute girls! the girls were fun they loved the water! Raini and tysie played in this little spot forever. (good for us moms to actually get to talk for a minute)
last time we went she wouldn't even get wet, i guess peer pressure helps!

i finally got to see the babies, and when we walked in this is what we saw. i think it was jared's first time holding Renner. but i just love how cute they looked holding them. they are such cute parents and such cute babies! but jared's holding Renner and heidi is holding Hali. so cute!

grandpa's new project....and his helper

my dad is building his garage/shop so we've been out there a few times watching the guys work. this was when they were pouring the footings and foundation and as they were walking around braden couldn't figure out why he kept finding nails sticking out of the concrete. well dax thought he was "helping" and was sticking the ones back in that they had already pulled out. so grandpa gave him the cutters to cut the wire to help, and he really did it. he's alot stronger than we think sometimes. he even got paid for his hard labor! he was so dead tired that night! he really worked so hard for a three year old.i'm sure there will be more pictures in the future, he really thinks he's a part of the crew. tysie thinks she's helping also with her wagon and playing in the dirt. she's such a dirt loving child!

baby # 3!

yep. that's right. baby #3 is on it's way. we're due on feb. 16. dax is way excited although he has been completely brainwashed by his dad to want a baby brother. he already has him named! i have no preference either way i already have one of each. other than throwing up all day and being sick we're really excited!

GOODBYE CHEER.....

well do to crazy parents and their phone calls, and more crazy parents. i quit cheer on monday. it's sad that i got to the point where i had to quit doing something i loved doing because parents can't stay out of their kids lives. i've learned alot through this about how i want to be as a parent, so i guess it's a good learning experience! i'm going to miss the girls but overall it will be better for me and my family. although braden is going to miss football games he is pretty excited not to have any more phone calls. and we just wont say much to dax because he'll be sad, he loves them.....

dress up time.

my kids love to dress up. the dinosaur is actually daxtons, but gets much more use from tysie and her growling. i think she growled before she could talk but that's all she ever heard dax do. they don't last very long dressed up, but they have fun. buzz is just way too hot for summer!
