toy story

thank goodness for toy story! toy story 3 couldn't have came out at a better time! dax had his tonsils, and adenoids out last week along with tubes in the ears..(hoping this will stop all the ear infections, and throwing up...cross your fingers!) and my mom gave him woody and bulls eye. he had been so good and so entertianed. i think we've watched toy story 1 and 2 at least 15 times the past 2 weeks and the cowboy dress ups and a daily (if not all day) occurance. i'll have to post pictures but they run so fast on their horses it's hard to get pictures! and we went to see toy story 3 if you haven't seen it you need to! i'm a big fan and have been since number one but three may be my favorite it's way cute. and all they toys they have out again are so fun! so thank you toy story! it has made this go by so much better and at least with entertainment. we're hoping to maybe pass some of the fun onto dax's little friend who broke his leg this week and has to be in a cast like all summer!

WE'RE HAVING A BOY!

words cannot describe the joy of dax right now! he is sooooo excited he's getting a baby brother and although braden is still a little mad we found out i'm so excited for dax! he's so happy! it's exciting for him. he even prayed at lunch and thanked heavenly father for the baby brother! at least he knows who really decides :)

dance studios!

hey wondering if any of you bloggers have liked or disliked where you're taking dance......i can't decide where to go! i've narrowed it down to dance image, studio 48 or infinity....if anyone takes at any of the 3 let me know. i took and taught at dance image and love them, but i've heard so many good things about the other 2 studios. what to do?!

a new discovery!

we get our fair share of sickness around our house! sometimes i don't know why my kids can't catch a break! in the past month we've had constant fevers, throat sores, pnemonia, ear infections combined with vomiting and tonsilitis...and the list could go on......but on the day that 2 of the 3 were on the couch with a fever i ran to the store to get more ibprofen and tylenol, and discovered these. i don't remember what i paid for them. maybe 2 or 3 dollars but they were well worth it! i feel so bad for kids when they get a fever and it just won't go down but these helped cool their forehead soooo much quicker! it says they last for up to 8 hours, but an hour was long enough to get it down and as long as they would leave it on. i'd say it's worth a try!

the zoo

gotta love the zoo right! it was fun, thanks all our friends who joined us! the baby elephant is the cutest thing ever too. my kids just looove animals so whether it's a giraffe or the cows at my parents they love it. here's a few pic's of our day and the group:)

{preschool graduation}

I still can't believe dax is headed for kindergarten in the fall! crazy! preschool graduation was so fun, and his teacher Ms. Leesa did such a good job it was a very cute program. we spent the day all for Dax.....he got a little graduation present (a book) and got to go to lunch with mom and dad all by himself. it was a fun day. We made graduation cupcakes the night before also to start the celebration he felt pretty special and he can't wait for school to start again! funny kid. Thanks to grandma and grandpa Taylor for coming:)

why do kids stick things in their nose!

i don't understand why kids need to put things in their noses! (or in tysie's words a "secret place".) tysie started screaming last week and i couldn't really understand her until she kept yelling, "mom, a bead in my nose!" oh yes i looked in and sure enough a bead was lodged in her nostril! what to do.....i tried having her blow hard to get it out and it just pushed it up further in her nose. so we dropped dax off at a awesome neighbors house so he wouldn't have to come, and headed to the ER. trying not to laugh because it is funny i tell the nurse that she has a bead in her nose. and the doctor came in almost with a blank stare after her looked at it...don't worry the ER can't get them out! what an expensive waste of time, we ended up at our ENT who had it out within like 5 minutes of being there! so tysie's lesson of the day is to NEVER PUT THINGS IN OUR NOSE! and my lesson was if they do, don't go to the ER, go to an ENT! i think tysie is my curious child, so i'm guessing i have more of these days to come...

Tee ball!

I'm so glad I actually remembered to sign dax up for Tee ball this year! (last year we had a big meltdown!) but he's loving it! although our first game on monday we spent the last of the game in the rain they didn't care! it's fun that we have all boys from our ward on our team it makes it more fun! here's a few pic's of our first game.
dax was so excited to dress like a "real baseball player" too! we went and got him pants and socks and he was dressed like 2 hours before the game. he even told braden when he got home that he looked like a professional!



karter is dax's best buddy and i don't know if half the game they were playing and talking to each other or playing the game! just kidding they did great! we love karter!

our favorite books ....this week anyway!

we loooove books at our house and spend alot of time reading...these are two tysie got for her birthday and seem to be the top picks each night for reading time. the itsy bitsy spider one is darling and cute for little ones (although dax loves it too!) and the cowgirl one is so cute. all the little girl wants for her birthday is a horse and her parents give her a pink bike it's fun! happy reading!

silly kembrie

kembrie is such a goof! we had a couple sick days last week and spent the days watching movies and lounging around. kembrie was happy and healthy as could be and decided to sit in the baby stroller and have a snack! the funniest part is she didn't understand why i wouldn't let her stay there!
